Fighting the impact of energy prices, investments into the future of Europe, and handling the consequences of the war in Ukraine represent priorities for the next year’s European budget

The European budget for 2023 is to be discussed within the committees of the European Parliament as early as the beginning of this session, with the main priorities referring to:

  • Fighting the impact of energy prices, the inflation, and the food insecurity, and also the prospects for economy within the post-pandemic context;
  • Investments in innovation, research, education, healthcare, and the future of Europe;
  • Handling the consequences of the war in Ukraine inside and outside the European Union.
