MEP Victor Negrescu has emphasised the fact that education should be a priority for any nation, and the legal and organisational framework defining the educational system should provide equal access to quality education for all, through their lives. Romania’s representative in the European Parliament has proposed many amendments to the pre-university education law draft, to make the education law better adapted to the needs of the Romanian education system, and at the same time harmonised with the European rules and principles. In his capacity as a teacher, and being well versed in the education system, Victor Negrescu argues that while performance needs to be stimulated, everyone’s access to quality education should also be provided.
