High-level meeting between MEP Victor Negrescu and the new United Nations Special Envoy on Technology, Amandeep Singh Gill, with whom he had a constructive discussion about the potential of the digital sector and new technologies.

Issues related to challenges, risks and existing discrepancies regarding the access and the quality of new technologies were discussed, with an emphasis on Romania’s potential in this sector, in support of future UN targets in the field.

The Romanian MEP supports the goal of the Secretary General of the United Nations to connect all schools in the world to the Internet and to use new digital technologies for educational purposes.
