The policies, projects and reforms dedicated to education, youth and culture, implemented through the national recovery and resilience plans will be evaluated in detail, at the proposal of the Social Democratic MEP, Victor Negrescu. At the same time, Romania’s representative in the European Parliament drew attention to the need for an adequate response from the European Union regarding the effects of the pandemic.

“In the report on the consequences of the pandemic, I obtained the support of my colleagues for the creation of a European network of psychological support in educational institutions and the inclusion of education, in a more detailed way, in the country reports prepared by the European Commission. Through this approach, we call for a concrete response of the EU to the effects of the pandemic, especially in the area of ​​education and youth”, said the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education of the European Parliament.
