“We asked the European Commission to act for the activation of the existing financial and technical instruments in order to protect food security and the population affected by drought and other extreme weather phenomena in Romania and other European countries”, said MEP Victor Negrescu.

As a Member of the European Parliament’s Committee on Budgets and as shadow rapporteur on the European budget, Victor Negrescu addressed a question to the European Commission regarding the possibility to optimize the recovery and resilience plans, as well as to finance, through the European long-term budget, specific support mechanisms for such situations.
