He also reiterated the need to speed up the implementation of the European Education Area.

“In the presence of several fellow MEPs, Romanian decision-makers, representatives of the non-governmental and educational sector, we discussed the reduction of education gaps, quality improvement and European funds dedicated to the field”, detailed Negrescu.

The event benefited from the participation of the European Commissioner for Education, Iliana Ivanova, and the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Katarina Barley.

Victor Negrescu has constantly initiated actions to ensure access to quality education for all, being the author of the European Parliament report on shaping digital education policy, of the CULT Committee opinion on the European Year of Skills, as well as a representative of the European Parliament in the plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe.
