Romania ”must have a strong voice in the European decision-making process”, believes MEP Victor Negrescu

Victor Negrescu believes that Romania ”must have a strong voice in the European decision-making process” and that it is up to us ”to take advantage of European opportunities to develop our communities”.

Speaking in the European Parliament, he said he was proud to represent ”Alba County, Transylvania and Romania in the European Parliament” and to fight ”for our country from the position of Quaestor, the most important position currently held by Romania in the European legislature”.

”I would like to assure the Romanians, and especially the citizens of Alba County, that I am a MEP who fights for their rights, for the allocation of additional European funds for our communities, for the preservation of cultural heritage, such as that of Alba Iulia, the Apuseni Mountains or in the area of Blaj, Aiud, Cugir or Sebes, for the support of Romanian villages and young people, for the respect of the dignity of Romanians in the European Union”, the MEP assured.

He expressed regret that ”in too many areas of Romania, including Alba county, this opportunity has not been taken, although we have positive examples in some localities”.

In conclusion, Victor Negrescu reminded that his door ”always remains open to all those who defend a strong Romania in the EU and a truly modern and European Alba County”.
