The expertise of Romanian NGOs in the field of protection and assistance to children from Ukraine must be recognized at European level and must be supported by the European institutions, was the message highlighted by MEP Victor Negrescu.
Together with the NGOs Federation for Child – FONPC, he organised an event in the European Parliament entitled ”Solidarity with Ukraine: Providing integrated and long-term services for Ukrainian refugee”, in order to highlight ”the important role played by NGOs and the need to develop instruments and financial allocations that provide predictability for the sustainability and development of meaningful and quality projects for children”.

- he was the author of the letter to President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, asking for a revision of the regulations regarding European funds in Romania and at EU level, to allow them to be used for refugee programmes.
