In the context of the European Union’s objectives regarding energy independence and the green transition, MEP Victor Negrescu met with Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans, to discuss RePowerEU, the European programme by which additional funds can be allocated for investments in the energy field. The discussions also referred to the possibility of amending recovery and resilience plans in order to increase energy independence and reduce consumer prices. In total, more than 200 billion Euros are to be additionally invested in this field by 2027.
