MEP Victor Negrescu and PES activists Romania started the 9th edition of the ”Zâmbetul de Sărbători” campaign, which aims to bring the magic of Christmas to less fortunate children who have never felt the spirit of the Winter Holidays.

”The flame of hope must be kept alive in the hearts and souls of children who have not had an easy start in life. Together with my colleagues in PES activists Romania we believe that no child should be left behind. That’s why for 9 years we have been bringing #ZâmbetuldeSărbători to thousands of children all over the country”, stressed the MEP.

He thanked all his colleagues for their ”exemplary work and the personalities who wanted to be with us, with the children and on the mission of our action, whose strength lies precisely in the time spent with those in need and the steps we then take to help them”.

Over the past eight years, PES activists Romania has managed to reach more than 10,000 children across the country, with whom they have decorated trees donated by the organization.
